Prayer Initiative - Sukkot
The biblical feast of Tabernacles (Tabernacles, Booths) is unique in both character and meaning. It is an eight-day time designated by God, when amidst all the cares of this world, we turn to Him, to what He has done and to what is to come. In a great measure, the character of Tabernacles unites the peoples of the world to Israel and to the Holy City - Jerusalem, as God commands both the Jews to welcome us and the Gentiles to join His chosen people. This festival is the most significant harbinger of the Kingdom of God. Of course, we can draw comparisons between Passover and Easter, or Christmas and Hanukkah, but Tabernacles remains unique.
